Borneo or Kalimantan is well known as the center of Mega Diversity, this island is the richest diversity of vegetation among the islands belonging to the sub territory of Sunda Bio-Geography, comprising the islands of Borneo, Sumatera, and Java. It is the center for the tree species belonging to the dipterocarp family.
Trekking to the jungle of Borneo will let you touch the unspoiled rainforest flowed by wonderful rivers and grown by diverse of vegetation that sustain the ecological harmony for all creatures as well as the unique life of the Dayak people that unite to the nature with their friendly attitude and hospitality that tend to make visitors immediately feel at home in their midst.

Tour Itenary :

Day 01  ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN

Meet at airport and directly transfer to hotel for check in. Next, we will cruise the Banjarmasin River up to Bakut Island for exploring proboscis monkeys and people activities on riverside. Afterwards, return to hotel for overnight. Free at your own leisure.

Day 02  BANJARMASIN – RAINFOREST TREKKING

After breakfast, we will leave to Loksado village for about 4 hours drive which is located on the foot of Meratus Mountain, our starting point to trek in Meratus range crossing secondary rainforest, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,L,D)

Day 03  RAINFOREST TREKKING

After breakfast at camp, we will be trekking up to the unspoiled virgin forest crossing secondary rainforest, hills, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, cinnamon and rubber trees. In the peaceful evening, we can have a short trekking to explore the nocturnal wildlife of the jungle. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,L,D)

Day 04  RAINFOREST TREKKING

After breakfast, we will be trekking to Haratai waterfall crossing secondary rainforest, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,LD)

Day 05  RAINFOREST TREKKING

Trekking down to Kapayang village crossing secondary rainforest, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent/longhouse. (B,LD)

Day 06  KAPAYANG BAMBOO RAFTING BANJARMASIN

Trekking down to Loksado for about 1 hour crossing secondary rainforest, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. Afterwards, taking an adventure trip of bamboo rafting across beautiful landscape of tropical rainforest along the Amandit riverside meanwhile our coach will be waiting on the downstream for transferring to Banjarmasin for overnight on hotel. Day 07  FLOATING MARKET – DEPARTURE

Early in the morning, we will leave to floating market for exploring the unique culture of Banjarese that trade commodities from boat to boat, then return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people activities at riverside, free at your own leisure till the proper time for transferring to airport for your next destination.
